Hello, my name is Tracy Deming, proud Air Force Wife and an even prouder mommy to three beautiful little boys. I have enjoyed photography ever since I was a little girl. I am an 'all around' person photographer, from pre-birth, to families, to sports photography. The thought of becoming a photographer entered my mind when I was in college, but I convinced myself I was no Ansel Adams or Annie Leibowitz and switched majors. But the love for photography never left, I took pictures all the time, of just about anything. I have probably had every style camera known to man (Polaroid, 110 mm, 126 mm, 120 mm, and a 135 mm). I have even worked in several one-hour photo labs as well as a professional lab. My work has been published in The Shogun Paper, Stripes Okinawa, Spotted, and the Bob Hope Primary School web pages. In 1998, I won 1st place Air Force wide in their photo contest and in 2007 I won 3rd place in a picture collage contest via Shutterfly.
Becoming a mom in 1999, and having always taken pictures of friends and family, my husband suggested that I take my skills and talent to the next level and start my own business. So, with a ginormous push from the hubby, Backyard Photography came about in 2007. As a mom, I want to capture my children 'in the moment' whether playing at a park, running along the beaches, or just being who they are and doing what they love (even if that means making a goofy face or having dirt on their clothes).
